US Expansion Service

What is Project Frontier?

Project Frontier is a multi-year effort developed by Merton Lawyers to establish closer ties between the Australian and American start-up sectors.

How did Project Frontier originate?

Merton Lawyers has been incubating Project Frontier since early 2020 as part of the firm’s ongoing efforts to assist Australian start-ups. In mid-2021, the firm began a co-creation process, meeting with a number of Australian and American venture capitalists, limited partners and government bodies to better understand their concerns and those of their portfolio companies. This work has led to the first service offering within Project Frontier, which involves assisting Australian start-ups looking to expand to the US market.

The Solution?

This first offering assists Australian start-ups by introducing them to key US legal advisors from the best Silicon Valley law firms.

Why Project Frontier?

Merton’s long-term vision is to be a catalyst for growth of the start-up sector in Australia. The Corporate team works closely with start-ups, founders, and investors. It has grown to be a key advisor to clients at every stage in their journey, from idea to IPO.
