Merton Lawyers Welcomes New Partner
The partners of Merton Lawyers are delighted to congratulate Julian Barclay as the firm’s newly appointed Partner, effective July 2021.
Julian is an accomplished lawyer with a Bachelor of Laws (1st class honours) and a Bachelor of International Business. He has been recognised in the Lawyer’s Weekly ’30 under 30’ Awards 5 times and 3 times in the Lawyers Weekly ‘Australian Law Awards’.
As a partner at the firm, Julian applies his expertise to general business, commercial, corporate and compliance matters. Julian has extensive experience acting for start-ups, SMEs, high-growth businesses and regularly advises in relation to business acquisitions and disposals. Julian is experienced with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and Initial Public Offerings (‘IPOs’).
Julian has specialised knowledge within the craft beer and distilling industry and has acted for a range of brewery and distillery clients. Julian is the founder and host of ‘The Brewers Lunch’ (an Australia-wide quarterly informal networking event that raises money for charity) and has presented on numerous brewing industry panels.
Julian is multifaceted and brings a wave of new experience to the firm.
