Merton Lawyers at the EFC Network Launch Event

The EFC Network Launch Event

We were extremely proud to be a part of last Wednesday night's EFC Network launch event, which was sponsored by Merton Lawyers and MRDG. In an event hosted by George Samios, members of the Essendon Football Club's business network were joined by the inspirational Nedd Brockman, Essendon FC's CEO Craig Vozzo, and football panel members Jake Stringer, Natalie Wood, and Ben Jacobs.

We were also pleased to have our Managing Director David Rennex join the panel and group for a great evening of networking.

Brewer’s Lunch

This month the Brewers Lunch raised over $35,000 for charity by hosting 3 sold-out events with over 420 attendees across Brisbane, Melbourne and the Gold Coast!

  • The Brisbane Brewers Lunch hosted 110 attendees, with brewery partner Your Mates Brewing Co, where we raised over $7,000 for charity partner Guide Dogs Queensland (and yes there were guide dog puppies at the event!).

  • The Melbourne Brewers Lunch hosted 150 attendees, with brewery partner Boatrocker, where we raised over $14,000 for charity partner Pangea Global Health Education.

  • The Gold Coast Brewers Lunch hosted 160 attendees, with brewery partner Stone & Wood, where we raised over $14,000 for charity partner Bravehearts.

Merton Lawyers is a proud sponsor of the Brewers Lunch and wants to thank the tribe of others who help bring these events to life – the sponsors, venues, breweries, distilleries, comedians, auction item donors, AC techs, charity volunteers, everyone who shared the invites, and of course all attendees!

Australia House @ SXSW

It was fantastic to see many clients, partners, and friends descend upon Australia House at SXSW this year, present, pitch, and host their services, products, and knowledge. It will be great to see you in Sydney!

Staff Quarterly Event: Axe-throwing at LumberPunks & Dinner

On Thursday, some of the Merton team enjoyed an afternoon of showing off their axe-throwing skills at LumberPunks, followed by dinner at Golden Gate Hotel for their quarterly staff function. The feedback was that it was so much fun and actually harder than it looks.
