Nick McKenzie-McHarg

Specialising in complex commercial litigation, Nick offers broad experience advising in relation to commercial and contractual disputes, insolvency, agribusiness, rural family succession planning and insurance matters.
Nick is well recognised for his tenacity, strategic thought and personal service to clients. He has particular expertise in relation to the Corporations Act including, but not limited to, disputes involving corporate structuring, director’s common law and statutory duties, voidable and preference transactions, corporate governance and shareholder disputes, as well as insolvent administration and the liquidation of companies.
Offering clients skills in alternative dispute resolution including mediation, Nick continues to act for both ASX listed and private corporates, insolvency practitioners, government agencies and private clients, particularly within the technology, healthcare, property and agribusiness sectors. He is familiar with the pressure and commitment involved in bet the company litigation.
Over the course of his career, he has acted in relation to numerous complex claims and disputes including matters in the Federal Court of Australia, the Supreme and County Courts of Victoria, the Supreme and District Courts of New South Wales and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
Having spent the past 12 years at a large national firm, Nick’s' move to a smaller firm is reflective of his desire to maximise his time doing what he enjoys most which is working with clients personally and being personally involved in the day-to-day legal and strategic work.
